See How the Run Actually Went
Runs from a watch now show the route, the splits and the heart rate, so you can tell how a session really went before you write back.
Get Your Athletes Set Up Yourself
Create their accounts and email each one a link to pick a password. Nobody has to hunt down a join code.
Build a Season Before Anyone Sees It
Work on a season privately, leave notes on it, and plan alongside your other coaches without stepping on each other.
Bring Your Old Workouts With You
Moving from TrainingPeaks? Upload your export and your workouts land in your library. If it is not what you wanted, undo puts it back.
Send a Workout in a Message
Drop any workout from your library into a conversation and your athlete can open it right there.

A Redesigned Athlete Profile
Open any athlete and you get the picture right away — sessions done, how their training load is trending, and how they're feeling. The health tabs underneath were rebuilt too.
Health Records You Can Actually Work In
Add a record without leaving the page, keep your notes with it, and attach forms or results. Athletes can add their own documents, and every update shows who made it.
A Better Workout Builder
Strength exercises come straight from the library and edit in place. Throws now handle marks, attempts and rest between them. Drafts always reopen where you left off.
More Exercises, Better Photos
A lot of new strength and mobility exercises with real photography, plus filters to find them fast and a preview of exactly what your athlete will see.
A Fresh Look, and Fixes
New GoodCoach logo, new app icons to choose from, and your team color throughout. We also fixed the message badge that wouldn't clear and an occasional freeze at login.

Strength Training Gets Its Own Real Builder
The strength builder was rebuilt from the ground up — a block-based table for laying out sets and reps, a body map to mark target muscle areas, and undo/redo so you're never afraid to experiment with a session. A day stepper and quick-naming make moving between days in a strength week fast instead of fiddly.
A First-Party Exercise Library
Strength exercises now come from GoodCoach's own catalog instead of a bolted-on third-party library, with equipment tags, required-form videos, and a much larger set of exercise artwork to choose from.
Prescribe However You Coach
Strength sessions now support multiple prescription styles — reps, time, or however you write a set — and both the builder and your athlete's logging view adapt to whichever mode you pick.
Workout Library, Reorganized
The workout library was redesigned end to end, with a quick structural summary on each saved workout so you can tell what's inside before you open it.

Feedback Hub, Rebuilt Again — This Time as a Review Center
A real Wellness Dashboard, a review center for workout feedback, and a detail rail that shows daily monitoring, a timeline, and the workout itself without leaving the list. Received is now a proper paginated table instead of an endless scroll. Your coaching notes now read like a comment thread with history, and you can edit or delete them after the fact.
Competitions Live on Your Calendar Now
Competitions moved out of their own standalone page and into a drawer right on your workout calendar. The list now leads with what needs review, and you can reply directly to an athlete's post-race reflection.
Records Board, Cleaned Up
The records board got a minimalist redesign with a World Athletics points column and a print button, and personal bests now show whether the coach or the athlete logged them — with a gender filter to keep boards accurate.
Know Who Did What
On teams with more than one coach, workouts now show who created them, and feedback history shows who reviewed, flagged, or resolved each item — so nothing gets lost in the shuffle of a shared roster.

Team Hub Gets a Fresh Look, In Your Team's Colors
Team Hub was rebuilt around a cleaner layout — your 7-Day Recap and Team Adoption now sit together in one row, Team Feed replaces the old details panel with a real activity stream, and your team's brand color now runs through the whole hub, not just the header. If your team hasn't set a banner photo yet, you'll see a scenic default instead of a blank space.
A Real Home for Staff
Staff now has its own dedicated hub instead of a tab buried in Team Hub. Managers get a staffing board to assign leads and support per practice plus visibility into who logged what hours; assistants and volunteers get their own view for marking availability and checking in and out of practices they actually worked.
Roster, Reorganized
Your roster now splits staff and athletes into their own sections with role-colored badges, and parents show up listed under the athlete they belong to instead of mixed into a flat list.
Commands That Know Your Role
The command palette (⌘K) now surfaces commands based on what you can actually do, and jumping to Seasons or Goals opens the right calendar drawer directly instead of a separate page.
Is GoodCoach Working for This Athlete?
The old Impact tab is gone, replaced by a straight verdict right on each athlete's Overview: is GoodCoach actually showing up in their training, or not yet. No charts to interpret — just an honest read you can act on.

Training Status, Refocused
The Training Status view was pared back to one job: showing you where an athlete stands, with a scenic hero and a metric you can choose yourself. Relative effort now weighs how hard a session actually was, not just its raw load.
Messaging Composer Polish
The message composer floats above the keyboard instead of pushing the thread around, conversation settings open as a proper bottom sheet everywhere, and the thread scrolls smoothly behind the header instead of jumping.
Training Library Now Reaches Every Coach in Your Org
If your organization publishes a shared training library, it's now open to every coach role that should see it — not just admins — with an honest view of what you do and don't have access to.

Build a Workout by Just Describing It
The workout builder now has a plain-language front door — describe the session you want and GoodCoach drafts it for you, with a real thinking screen so you're never staring at a frozen button. Prefer building by hand? Drag-and-drop and click-to-build are both still there, and you can switch between them freely. The builder itself is denser and faster to work in, with cleaner group-splitting when a session branches for different athletes.
Confirm & Review, Rebuilt
The confirm-and-review step is now a full workout details page — real date/time pickers, editable names you can reuse later, and a floating toolbar that stays out of your way on a wide screen.
Your Calendar, Livelier and Faster
The workout calendar picked up a big round of polish: smoother drag physics when you move a session, cards that expand into a full preview in place, and day notes that anchor right to the cell you clicked instead of popping up in the middle of the screen. Seasons are also now their own filter, not lumped in with everything else.
Messaging Gets Attachments, Voice Notes & Search
You can now send real attachments and voice notes, @-mention people in a thread, and search your full message history — not just recent chats. Staff and group channels also get their own icon and identity, editable right from the conversation.
Your AI Coach Adapts to How You Coach
Your AI coach now behaves differently depending on context — more hands-on when it's just you and an athlete, more of a co-pilot when there's a team around it. It also started reaching out on its own: a nudge when an athlete misses a session, and a shout-out when they crush one.
1.3.0

Feedback Hub, Rebuilt as a Decision Surface
Feedback Hub now opens on a real "Today" view instead of four tabs to dig through — a narrated read on how your team's actually doing, not a wall of stat tiles. Empty states tell you plainly when there's nothing to review yet, and inviting an athlete who hasn't joined is now one real modal instead of a dead end.
Your Season Is the Source of Truth
The season grid now drives your athletes' training phases directly — no more keeping two views in sync by hand. And the Season Co-Pilot chat got sharper: it opens as a side drawer that doesn't cover your work, thinks with a real shimmer instead of dots, and can now actually act on your grid, not just talk about it.
Presets Now, Advanced When You Want It
Team Settings for alerts, parent access, and AI permissions now leads with sensible presets, with an Advanced/Custom section tucked away for when you want to tune the details yourself.
Schedule Things in the Past, Rest Days Everywhere
You can now log a workout, test, competition, or event on a past date instead of fighting the calendar to backfill it. Rest days are also a real, schedulable thing now — set one across your whole team and it shows up consistently for you and your athletes.
A Warmer Welcome for New Coaches
New teams now start with sport-aware draft workouts and an upcoming competition already seeded in, so there's something on the calendar from day one. New coaches also get a proper welcome email series instead of silence after signup.

Magic Import — Drop In a Plan, Get a Season
Already have your program in a spreadsheet, a doc, or even a screenshot? Drop it into Magic Import and GoodCoach reads it for you — pulling out your season phases, competitions, and every workout, then laying them straight onto your calendar as real, editable sessions. Moving a whole year of training into GoodCoach now takes minutes, not a weekend.
Your AI Coaching Assistant, Reimagined
The AI assistant is now a full-height, immersive workspace. Ask it to draft sessions, talk through periodization, or sanity-check your week — it keeps your conversation history, attaches files, and stays out of your way when you don't need it. No more red error walls either; if it's offline it just tells you plainly and waits.
Messaging, All in One Inbox
Coach messaging got a top-to-bottom overhaul: a unified inbox with archive, starred channels, a roomier desktop messages hub, and an auto-created group chat for your staff. Photos you send now appear instantly and upload in the background.
See Planned vs. Actual at a Glance
Your season grid now shows what you planned next to what your athletes actually did. Spot the weeks that slipped, the blocks that overdelivered, and where the plan and reality are drifting apart — without leaving the grid.
A Cleaner Athlete Profile & Staff Hub
The athlete page was rebuilt around the web UI kit with consolidated tabs and a new Trackers view, and the Team Hub gained a proper Staff tab. Plenty of polish across the desktop app rounds it out.

The Coach App Just Got a Lot Faster
We went screen by screen through the desktop app and cut the waiting. Pages come up right away, jumping between your roster, seasons, and workouts feels instant, and everything stays responsive even on a slow connection. Less time staring at the screen, more time coaching.
Analytics Now Has Its Own Home
Analytics moved out of the sidebar and into a dedicated hub. You can now see each athlete's heart-rate and pace zones, training load, and trends over time — not just team-wide averages. It's a much clearer picture of who's rounding into form and who might be running on empty.
Connect Your Athletes' Watches
GoodCoach now pulls supported training data from Garmin and Apple Health. Once an athlete connects a supported source, their sessions and effort data can flow into GoodCoach for review. Garmin syncing in particular is far more dependable in this release.
Bring Your Workouts In From Anywhere
Already have your sessions in a spreadsheet or a doc? Paste them in or drop in a file, and GoodCoach turns them into real, editable workouts for you. Moving an existing program into GoodCoach is now a few-minutes job instead of an afternoon.
A More Polished Desktop
A broad polish pass across the coach app — cleaner layouts, a refreshed navigation bar, and smoother, more consistent interactions throughout. You'll also get a heads-up when your athletes earn new challenges, so you never miss a win worth celebrating.

Built to Handle Every Sport
Setting up and customizing a sport is cleaner and more consistent now. Everything about how a sport behaves comes from one place, so multi-sport programs stay in sync and adding a new sport is far less fiddly. This is the groundwork for a lot more sport support coming soon.
See How Training Actually Felt
When an athlete writes up how a session went — what was hard, how their body felt, what they noticed — it now shows up right in your coaching view, next to the data. You get the story behind the numbers without having to ask for it.
Smarter Help When You Build Plans
Plan building now does more of the periodization heavy lifting for you, laying out phases and suggesting structure that fits where you are in the season. You stay in control — it just gives you a stronger starting point.
Your Learning Center
A single place to get help without leaving GoodCoach: submit feedback, report a bug, track your tickets, and see exactly what's new — all right here.

The Season Builder, Rebuilt
Mapping out your year is a much more guided experience now. Phases, competitions, peaking windows, and athlete groups all come together in one clear view, so your long-term plan is easy to lay out and easy to adjust as the season moves. Getting a new season set up is faster and a lot less confusing.
A Better Workout Builder
We rebuilt the workout builder so every type of block works the same way. Sessions are quicker to put together, blocks behave consistently, and the builder itself is snappier to use. It also sets us up to roll out new block types much faster in the coming months.
Dozens of Coaching Fixes
A big batch of coach-side cleanup landed here — scheduling quirks, competition editing, navigation, and a long list of small rough edges left over from 1.0. If something felt slightly off before, there's a good chance it's tightened up now.

Smoothing Out the 1.0 Launch
The first week after a big release always surfaces a few things that only show up once everyone's using it. This update knocks out the most impactful ones, from sign-in hiccups to small UI inconsistencies. Thanks to everyone who sent in reports — they made this a quick turnaround.
Scheduling & Competition Fixes
Editing a scheduled workout or a competition could sometimes silently fail or revert. Both are fixed and working reliably now. We also fixed the Create Organization step in Get Started for coaches setting one up for the first time.
Cleaner, More Reliable Messaging
Message threads were occasionally showing stale or placeholder previews. They now show only real, confirmed messages, and delivery is more dependable across both direct and group chats.

GoodCoach 1.0.0 — A Complete Redesign
This is the biggest update we've ever shipped. The only thing that's changed is everything. Across Team Hub, Workout Hub, Feedback, settings, navigation, and the athlete experience, we've rebuilt GoodCoach to feel clearer, faster, and more connected from end to end. The goal was simple: less friction, more coaching.
Seasons Are Now the Backbone of Your Planning
Seasons have been completely redesigned into a true planning surface for your program. You can now organize competitions, manage season structure, track progress, and build training cycles directly inside each season. Your long-term plan and your week-to-week execution finally live together in one place.
Strength Is Now Live Inside GoodCoach
Strength is now a first-class part of the platform. Build and assign weight room sessions with strength-specific workout types and blocks, manage sport and strength work side by side, and give athletes a more complete training experience without forcing your program into a one-size-fits-all workflow.
Choose the Interface That Fits How You Coach
You can now choose between the Simple and Standard experiences. This changes how much complexity you see in the interface, not what your program is capable of. Newer coaches can stay focused and clean, while Standard gives you everything GoodCoach can do.
Smoother Onboarding, More Flexibility, Better Athlete Experience
We've streamlined onboarding so coaches, staff, and athletes can get set up faster with less confusion from the very first session. At the same time, the platform is far more flexible across the board, and athletes now get a cleaner, more polished experience with better navigation, clearer screens, and a much stronger day-to-day feel.

Team Hub — Your New Surface for Coaching
We've reimagined how you interface with your team. The standalone Dashboard is gone — everything it did now lives inside a sleek Overview tab right within your Team Hub. Team Hub is now the one place where you: • Run day-to-day admin and team management • Monitor training load, compliance, and wellbeing • Stay in contact with athletes and staff • Access the leaderboard, records, and scheduling tools Less switching, more coaching.
Introducing the Command Center
The GoodCoach Command Center brings your AI assistant directly into the most important things on your to-do list — right now, in context. We're launching with a focused set of high-impact actions and insights, and we'll be rapidly expanding what it can do for you throughout March. Think of it as a coaching co-pilot that helps you cut through the noise and act on what matters. We're really excited to see how this one lands — stay tuned.
